Regulation

1. Important Dates

Deadline for sending abstracts for oral presentations - February 4th, 2019 ORAL ABSTRACT SUBMISSION POSTPONED TO FEBRUARY 11TH

Deadline for sending abstracts for poster presentations - February 25th, 2019 POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION POSTPONED TO MARCH 17TH

Registration payment of at least one of the authors - Until March 20th, 2019

Deadline for submission of final abstracts (only for abstracts with improvement suggestions): March 25th, 2019. POSTPONED TO MARCH 28TH

2. Online Registration

2.1. Correctly complete the form on the website with all the data requested, since this will be the official data used for the certificates and correspondence from the LAPRW 2019 Administrative Office.

2.2. The order of inclusion of the authors in the registration file will be the same order for publication of the abstract in the abstracts book and on the certificates.

3. How to Send

3.1. The abstracts shall be sent only to the event's website, in the specific area designated for submitting abstracts. Everything is done by the online system in a simple, quick and secure way.

3.2. The abstract shall be attached or typed directly on the specific form on the website and shall contain between 300 and 500 words.

Abstracts sent by e-mail or any other means of communication will not be accepted.

4. Abstracts

4.1. Abstracts shall be written only in English.

4.2. The abstract shall contain the following informations: Introduction/Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, References (optional) and Acknowledgments (optional).

4.3. Each author registered in the event may submit up to three abstracts.

4.4. Spelling shall be carefully checked and scientific nomenclature respected.

4.5. When submitting the abstract, the author shall state the category:

Company – In this category, abstracts will only be accepted for presentation in the form of a poster

Scientific (Oral or Poster)*

4.6. Scientific abstracts shall be classified into one of the areas below:

PD - Development and Application of Analytical Methods

PM - Monitoring Studies

PQ - Quality Control/Quality Assurance

PR - Regulatory Issues and Risk Assessment

* Due to schedule limitations in the scientific program, papers submitted for oral presentation that were not approved in this category will be automatically selected for poster presentation.

Note: Do not put the title, authors' names or the institution in the body of the abstract. This file must not, under any circumstances, contain identification. Abstracts whose authorship is identified will be excluded from the event.

At no time will the Administrative Office make any changes to abstracts sent.

5. Evaluation

5.1. The abstracts will be assessed by an Evaluation Committee appointed for this purpose, according to its own criteria, which are not subject to question.

5.2. The results of the evaluation will be: Accepted, Accepted with improvement suggestions*, Rejected.

* The Evaluation Committee may request corrections be made to the abstract. The corrected final version shall be sent through the online system within the time frame stipulated in Section 1.

Abstracts that do not meet the established standards or were not sent again after the corrections, will be excluded.

6. Form of Presentation

On March 25th, 2019, all the information related to the presentation will be available on the website.

6.1. Abstracts may be approved for either ORAL or POSTER presentations.

Each abstract is entitled to one presentation certificate containing the names of all the authors.

To receive the presentation certificate, the author must be present at the time of the presentation.

7. Technical Information

7.1. POSTER PRESENTATION

Posters must comply with the dimensions of 120 cm (height) x 90 cm (width), as well as contain a wire in order to be hung.

7.1.1. It is the author's responsibility to hang and remove the poster. If not removed within the previously announced time frame, the Organizing Committee will dispose of the poster

7.1.2. The author responsible for the presentation to the Scientific Committee and other congress attendees must be present on the day and time that will be defined and posted on the website

7.2. ORAL PRESENTATION

7.2.1. Oral presentations of abstracts will be allotted 10 minutes for the presentation, followed by 5 minutes for discussion and questions

8. Awards

The three best abstracts presented at the event will receive an award.

Abstracts submitted by companies will not be eligible for awards.

You can submit your abstract only after you have registered.

To register for LAPRW 2019, you will be directed to a registration page, where you will need to provide your CPF (Individual Taxpayer Registration No.) or passport number in order to access the restricted area.
