On behalf of the Scientific, National and Local Organizing Committees, I would like to warmly welcome all of you to the 7 th Latin American Pesticide Residue Workshop (LAPRW2019) in Foz do Iguazu - PR, Brazil.

Twelve years have passed since the first edition of LAPRW in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil, in May 2007. The 1 st Latin American Pesticide Residue Workshop (LAPRW) was organized as the final activity of the European Commission's Alfa Program Project “EUROLANTRAP”, an academic training program for Latin American Countries, financing exchange of students and researchers to receive dedicated education from European expert researchers on pesticide residue analysis and all related aspects. Dissemination of international knowledge was the aim of the project and has been since then also one of the main goals of LAPRW.

The realization of all envisioned goals of the LAPRW series can be derived from the qualitative and quantitative successes achieved until now.

Besides your participation in all scientific and social activities of LAPRW 2019, for sure you will be delighted to visit all natural beauty and wonders of this Brazilian region.
